Description
The 1793 Half Cent is among the toughest type coins to acquire in high grade, and this almost-choice mint state example will satisfy even the most astute collector. This date is the first year of coinage for the official United States Mint at Philadelphia and the only year of this design in the half cent denomination. While there are a few minor planchet marks on the present coin, it is well to be expected from the somewhat crude operation at the early 1790s Mint.
